Operating in an industry where service providers cater to a broad range of clients in various markets, Creative Squeeze has felt the full magnitude of the economy’s recent knockout punches. It seems, according to Creative Squeeze principal owner, Scott Keawekane, that “no industry is immune.” He continues, “from healthcare to talent management, clients have become more cautious about spending — scrutinizing every dollar spent to assure value.” Resulting from the sensible spending habits of clients, Creative Squeeze has resolved to increase it’s efforts to find new ways to decrease client costs.

Creative Squeeze is allocating significant resources to develop new divisions of its business that will both save money for clients and provide services and products that will create new opportunities. The first of these divisions is SqueezePrint.com, an online printing resource that serves as an alternative to expensive boutique printing. Next, is SqueezeEmail.com, an online email campaign service which facilitates keeping in touch with customers regularly for practically free. Lastly (for now), is SqueezeFlip.com, an online PDF conversion tool that provides a digital alternative to printing multiple page documents (e.g. catalogs). The first of these new divisions to go live was SqueezePrint.com (Feb. 18), which has received praise from virtually all of its polled users; including comments, such as: “I haven’t seen that [service] in a long time” (Morgan W., MW Graphic Design ), “This is pretty awesome … I’ve passed it along to every facility in the company with my endorsement” (Bryce P., NAHC, Inc), and “I really do like this website!” (Lisa W., Danville Rehab). SqueezeEmail.com and SqueezeFlip.com have expected releases in Q2 of ‘09.

Ironically, Creative Squeeze makes less money on orders placed using SqueezePrint.com than it does on more customized, boutique print brokering; “However”, says Keawekane:

“When developing solutions for clients, their needs must come first, even when it means taking a loss. In the long run, it results in a winning partnership.”

While the economy throws a few more jabs in the months to come, keep your eyes on Creative Squeeze to see how it counters. It’s a good fight, but there can be only one winner, and with the solution-based industry leadership that Creative Squeeze is showing, my bet’s on them.

Creative Squeeze is proud of its proven ability to foster client relationships that result in commitment from both parties. While many companies dedicate entire departments to customer service to generate “loyalty” from clients, Creative Squeeze believes that by simply doing what you say you’ll do (or more), when you say you’ll do it (or before), loyalty is cultivated. For Creative Squeeze, however, client “commitment” is the goal. “Commitment” suggests a mutually beneficial relationship, and, in the case of Creative Squeeze’s annual growth since inception, this goal has clearly benefited both client and vendor.

Since its beginnings in mid-2003, Creative Squeeze has had annual growth each year, increasing 30% in 2004, 25% in 2005, 20% in 2006, and 15% in 2007. 2008 is no exception, matching 2007’s 15% increase. Scott Keawekane, principal owner of Creative Squeeze, attributes this success to clients committed to the value brought by Creative Squeeze’s commitment. “A commitment,” says Keawekane, “supported by a breadth of experience and expertise.” Rather than spending endless hours scrambling for new clients, Creative Squeeze continually strengthens their existing relationships by treating each project as if it was the first one — the one that originally earned the business. By keeping that level of commitment to the success of client projects, clients reciprocate with a commitment to their vendor’s success. Most of the time the result is a continual influx of projects, and sometimes it’s quality referrals.

With another wonderful year behind Creative Squeeze, sights are on another record year in 2009. Creative Squeeze is ready to commit to the next project … Are you?

Throughout this 2007 year, Creative Squeeze has been transitioning its business model from an independent designer with outsourcing capabilities to a collaborative design group, facilitating instant access to diverse expertise and a broader range of resources. This initiative required production of a “juiced up” Creative Squeeze website — one that not only improves its representation and communication with clients, but also houses a forum for collaborative designers to interact, making valuable contributions to the success of clients’ projects.

Creative Squeeze committed a considerable amount of resources to the production of its new website, knowing that it will continue the legacy of constant improvement in the client experience. Scott Keawekane, principal owner of Creative Squeeze, states their position, saying: “The client experience, from initial contact through the successful completion of projects, is what determines the future of our relationship with any client. Nothing is more important to our success as a creative services provider than continually strengthening relationships with our valued clients, and that comes by way of contributing to their success”.

It is with great pleasure that Creative Squeeze launches its new, improved website. “It’s not flashy,” says Keawekane, “because it was made with our clients in mind … not our egos; and, that’s why we’re excited … we get to serve them even better”. Browse the site and you’re likely to agree that it really does represent a business that is set up to deliver stellar services.

Having worked both in-house and independently as a designer for over ten years, Scott brings design expertise, management experience, and diversified insight to all projects he engages in. In-house capacities he served in include: senior designer at Del Sol Enterprises, Creative Director at Great Basin Technologies, senior designer at Ricardo Beverly Hills, and graphic design manager at ACCO. As an independent designer and a firm believer that ANYTHING is possible, Scott listens carefully to clients, focuses on their needs and objectives, then leads collaborative efforts to develop solutions that command results. Scott’s vision for Creative Squeeze began over five years ago, and by successfully contributing to the growth and improvement of his clients’ businesses, Creative Squeeze now provides services for dozens of loyal clients and attracts designers from around the country who ambitiously seek successful collaborations.

“I’ve been doing business with Scott Keawekane for over five years … back when Scott was a freelance designer. There are very few people who are able to keep up with my entrepraneurial ventures, but Scott’s been there every step of the way, providing design services for seven businesses that I’ve created and successfully gotten off the ground. All of my businesses have benefited from Scott’s expertise, and each of those businesses that I’m still in control of continue to benefit from Creative Squeeze’s services. I don’t settle for crap, so I’m keeping Creative Squeeze as our design guys.”
